I love living in New York because it’s home to so much talent. I’ll go see everything from broadway shows to Improv comedy to small, obscure plays, and I love dance. Not to miss: The Suzanne Farrell ballet at the Joyce Theater in Chelsea in October.
Pangea’s Face Scrub is my favorite for a quick, gentle exfoliation--leaving an instant glow. The best part is that it’s certified organic--I try to use as few chemicals on my skin as possible because most of the ingredients have not been tested for safety and fully absorbed in our skin.
When the leaves begin changing color, I immediately start craving cozy accessories. This year, my trip to Aspen, Colorado has inspired earthy additions to my Fall wardrobe, alluding to mountains, campfires and cozy, wool blankets. Here, my best find in Aspen,
« The Carpet bag », made in Morocco. I love throwing everything in it--groceries, laptop, books.
I love parsnips right now. Nutritionally superior with their high levels of folic acid, they are a hearty, versatile root vegetable making them a go-to seasonal vegetable for the cooler months in my kitchen and for chefs in New York City restaurants.
For a mind-body workout, Elena brower’s yoga studio nestled in Soho, Virayoga, is home to urban warriors doing heart opening backbends and other Anusara-inspired poses. I’ll pop in on Saturdays as a way to begin a relaxing stress-free weekend.
As most of us do, Elena has a special place in her heart for Paris, so you can visit her under the Eiffel Tower for yoga workshops throughout the year.
